Velleman MK118 FM Radio kit

This evening my son and I put together a Velleman MK118 FM Radio kit. It was a fun easy project.


Alec learned how to install circuit parts.






And then how to solder!



It works!!!!






We did have to replace the final audio output chip, a LM386N. This created about a hour of trouble shooting till I decided it had to have been bad new from the package, and it was. Quick trip to Radio Shack and $1.87 later we had our radio working GREAT!!!
